Mapeband is the flexible, alkali-resistant rubber tape designed to reinforce and waterproof corners, expansion joints, and pipe penetrations—providing long-lasting protection as part of a complete waterproofing system.

How to Use:

  1. Apply a thin layer (≥1 mm) of MAPEI waterproofing membrane (e.g., Mapelastic Zero) to the joint or corner.

  2. Press the fabric side of Mapeband firmly into the fresh membrane using a smooth trowel.

  3. Ensure the membrane fully wets both sides of the tape.

  4. For movement joints, shape Mapeband into an omega (Ω) configuration to allow flexibility.

  5. Seal joints between tape sections with Adesilex LP or Adesilex PVC HP.
