Galala Limestone

Galala is a pale, warm ivory limestone from Egypt — light enough to lift a room, dense enough for serious wear. We used it to re-floor St Peter’s Church, and stock it honed, tumbled, as parquet blocks and as outdoor paving.

Common questions

Honed or tumbled Galala?

Honed gives a smooth, even, contemporary face; tumbled adds softened edges and texture for a more relaxed, aged look. Same stone, two characters — samples show the difference best.
